Local elections are quite soon. I'd just like to point something out to everyone, whether the Tories do well or not. Before the Local Elections.
Local elections ARE NOT a good indicator of the mood of General Elections.
In 1983 the Tories were ahead by 3 points in the Local Elections, and in the General Election a month later they were 15 points ahead.
Same thing in 1987.
People just vote differently in local elections, So I would expect a Lib Dem boost and Labour might not do too badly.
Just a caveat to all those that would use it as a "Oh the polls are wrong". It's simply not the case.
