Epic match here. I was playing with @Nationalist_Libertarian against a custom AI that is one of the best AIs done by the AoE 2 (no HD) community. I expected it to perform much better than it actually did, and was killed by my Feudal Age Rush (Frush) relatively quickly. Meanwhile, @Nationalist_Libertarian didn't even help with it. So, while I was looking for remaining AI buildings, I noticed I had screwed up the team selection and him and myself had been enemies throughout the whole match, without realizing it until my wandering units stumbled with his camp and started attacking him. My economy was ruined because of forcing the Frush, and I thought I was screwed.
Still, we kept on going as enemies. He was the Huns and I was Goths. A shitton of Cavaliers (Paladins later), Heavy Cavalry Archers, Crossbowmen and onagers then attacked my base and the soldiers I had desperately attempted to mass (Huskarls, Halberdiers, and Hussars), but managed to drive off the attack. I rebuilt my economy as fast as I possibly could while replenishing my losses, and shifted to an offensive. Researched the techs of the Goths for faster infantry, and the battle started to be in his base, even though I had no siege weapons to do much to the buildings. However, just as his army was reduced to a small group, he retired because of lack of time.
Honestly, I thought I would lose when I noticed the fuck up with the team function. Just as my economy was weak because of the rush, and his wasn't.
I'll let the people decide who was the winner.
