What are your thoughts on the further executive powers that would be granted to ministers if the EU Withdrawal Bill was to be approved by Parliament?
The Bill has passed its second reading with all Conservative MPs voting in favour of it, plus a handful of Labour MPs voting with the Conservatives as well.
No. It's being blown out of proportion. People now believe that the government is suddenly able to pass any law they want without a vote. Saw Facebook posts with hundreds of likes saying this.
it's about time - and glad to see Labour have actually finally voted in line with what the people decided...for how long though?
You don't follow the new at all, do you? Labour didn't vote in line with what the people decided. 7 MPs voted in favour of the bill, the ~260 others voted against/abstained/were absent.
