Hispanic workers at my job site are not coming to work tomorrow, and apparently this is spreading through word-of-mouth nationally. Not sure who started it, but it's a response to the current Administration's crackdown on immigration.
I remember the National Strike of Poles in the UK in August, with a mass protest planned in front of the Parliament.
Some 60 000 people were estimated to attend and 700 000 to ignore work.
Six people turned up.
Was a good troll though, whoever did it.
When will they learn the difference between legal and illegal migrant, your migrant politics is so twisted because yous conflate the two for no reason.
They aren't conflating anything, the majority of people I work with are illegal.
Interesting. I wonder if anything will happen of it. Keep us updated.
i hope if you're ever a victim of any crime no one will come and snitch up since clearly you can't be bothered to.
Okay, I don't wish any bad things on you since I'm not a shitty person.
I dont care if the majority are (why do you tolerate your nations sovereignty being violated? We literally shoot illegal migrants in parts of europe) , people are conflating those who earned the right to join the usa to those who just kinda showed up and managed to find work. The USA cannot have a migrant policy until it has control of its borders.
I don't work with mexicans, I work with Hondurans, Guatemalans, El Salvadorians, etc. They don't just show up, they overstay their work visas.
Because I disagree with the idea that spanish immigration is somehow threatening my nation's sovereignty.
>directly undermines your nation's laws >doesn't threaten a nation's sovereignty somehow
This rebuttal would work if I agreed with the laws in the first place.
Your opinion of the laws is irrelevant to whether breaking them undermines your nation's sovereignty or not
I really do not think all laws are equal.
True but immigration laws are one of the 'more equal than others' type of laws, compared to (ie) internet piracy. So undermining immigration laws is very much undermining a nation's sovereignty by denying control of its borders.
We disagree here so its hard to draw the rest of the premise from this.
.>when you get so triggered by someone's beliefs that you wish for them to be a victim of a crime
Eh, he didn't really say that though. It clearly states if they are a victim of a crime.
That doesn't really help
Entire job site is empty, mcDonalds next door that has Spanish workers is empty as well
