I never said Britain was a theocracy.
But Jesus was shoved down my throat when I was young. I went to a state run school and my mother was an atheist but that didnt mean I wasnt told to sing songs about Jesus being the son of God or to go on school trips with a preist and his assistant from the Church of England. To clarify, my school wasnt, by UK standards, a religious school, it was just a normal every day school.
Now, I am not here to argue over whether it is a good or bad thing that the state church has a grip on this country but dont try and pretend to me that it doesnt.
And dont try and pretend to me that the UK is a secular country. As I have already said, its leaders claim to make decisions on the basis that God is guiding them, the head of state is the head of the church, the legislature has to have state church preists in it, the schools teach children, in song and plays, that Jesus is the son of God and Tony Blair, the noted Christian-in-arms with Bush, went along with the USAs (quote) "crusade" in Iraq.
And there are many more examples on top of that.
What do you think we look like to the Muslim nations of this Earth? You think they think we are a secular democracy? Dont kid yourself.
