ok i know this is a controversial and often sensitive topic for some (especially in the overly sensitive world we live in today) but hear me out. im only starting this discussion because i truly want to understand all sides of the argument
everyone can agree that there are two sexes determined at birth, male and female, based on your reproductive organs, correct? (lets ignore rare cases where someone is born with more than one for the purpose of this discussion)
to think that you 'belong' to another gender - isn't that only valid if you yourself believe in gender roles? as in, you could only believe you belong to a gender not tied to your sex IF you acknowledge and define that girls do this and boys do that.
in my opinion, the argument for gender fluidity and abolishment of gender stereotypes conflict with other. i was born as a female and i identify myself as a girl. why would i identify myself as a boy if I truly believed that girls can achieve anything boys can achieve??? if i was born a female and identified as a boy, it would mean that i inherently believe and accept that boys live life differently than girls, no?
