I'm Back

#1

After around 6 months of being gone, I’ve decided to rejoin. My A-levels are complete, and I am hopefully going to Warwick to study Politics and International Relations.

You may remember me as James, Jamie, or my (now dated) political beliefs of fairly radical libertarianism, even reaching anarcho-capitalism at one stage. Nowdays I still go by the name James, however, my views have changed a fair bit. I’d still classify myself as libertarian, but with more conservative views on culture and morals. Economically, good old Milton Friedman is probably closest to me.

Feel free to ask me anything, and I shall be joining the Atlantis role-play - if it still exists in any form - shortly.

Without further ado, what the fuck happened to the layout of the site?

See you around :kissing_heart:

Fucking finally

#3

Ewwww

#4

Welcome back to the site @lordtutton – the software of the site may be a bit different than you remember :stuck_out_tongue:

#6

I saw that

#7

I’m just confusing myself with the new site, :grinning:

https://www.youthdebates.org/t/im-back/104994/6?u=lordtutton

Figuring out how to do that. ^^

#8

Dw just give it an hour or so and you’ll be used to it.

Mod privileges. Want me to undelete it?

#9

Such as?

I remember me and you were almost identical on economics and you and @Latte_Liberal were almost identical on societal stuff, and all 3 of us were loosely libertarian. Then we all went different ways, myself to the sane part of course.

Please

#11

Done.

And yeah still a leftie, though I’ve become more moderate in the sense I’m not a socialist, but rather a social democrat.

#12

Cultural Nationalism, I’m a fan of tradition, mild social darwinism, elitist in the sense that those who have achieved that best in society are better than those who have lived their life in failure, and if you count wanting a voting test as conservative, then that too.

Oh the good old days, is @Latte_Liberal Ciarán?

#13

I DON’T REMEMBER YOU BUT OMG HI! I study Pol and IR, it’s fab, very good choice.

What’s your favourite kind of pizza?

Doesn’t exist at the moment, but we may reinstate it later.

Some wacko dude bought it and changed it all. (@Dylan ily rly).

#14

At Wawrick?

If we’re talking Domino’s, it’s gotta be the Meateor, anywhere else, the one with the most meat on.
(I vaguely remember you as being vegetarian/vegan, if so, please don’t hurt me.)

Well I’m in if it happens.

@Dylan as in the Dylan I was in an Atlantis party with et cetera?

#15

Nah, American fellow, bought the site about a month or two back.

#16

Ahh fair enough. At least the sight still exists.

#17

Ew no, at York.

Idk how you remember that, but yeah, that’s disgusting. Although I did used to love the meat feast at Pizza Hut.

Not sure how, it’s certainly not up to it’s former glory yet though; however we are working on it.

#19

Such a shame. Congrats on getting to York though :stuck_out_tongue:

Where did it go so wrong :frowning:

#20

Thank you! Hopefully you’ll get into Warwick.

Basically when I realised that killing and eating animals was wrong, and that it tastes nasty.

Yeah I do prefer the old layout, but there are some nice things on here which weren’t on the old one.

Optimism!!
