Like the title says, do you think that the strength of Theresa May's brand compared to the opposition stems from her own merits in the eyes of the public or from the weakness of the opposition?
I lean towards the latter position myself.
I think its defo the weak opposition. I don't think as a person May is really that liked by the public (not as much as other leaders like Cameron and blair) she does not relate to the public in anyway and unlike past leader she does not get down to the publics level on understand standing she just says "strong and stable". I think with a stronger opposition she would struggle much more and may only edge a victory cos of ukip voters.
I don't think even conservatives like her that much, Corbyn has a mix of bad press and bad policy that make it easy for May to get elected
Mostly the latter, but at the same time she is seen as "getting on with the job" so I suppose that's true. She is seen as "cold" etc. So it could just be herself and her appearance of hard work.
