You lose your co-op discounts and other student discounts
But you gain BANTER
Unfortunately none. But I imagine we'll leave it as the whole lefty crowd wants to leave because apparently the NUS is entirely responsible for the tuition fee rises.
Pretty much. I've never been at uni and thought, "damn, thank god I'm part of the NUS."
Idek if my uni is a part of it, what are the benefits of it?
Lidl is still cheaper.
Imperial College and Uni of Southampton both left and they were still able to barter for cheaper goods anyway.
Plus unidays exists and it does the exact same thing in terms of discounts.
It's essentially a lobby for all it's student union members. My uni paid £50,000 membership for 2017 (which everyone seems to be pissed off about), but you can get an NUS card (discounts).
No idea what else it does.
I just use my uni ID for student discounts, I don't have an NUS card, so I presume my uni isn't a part of it.
My uni ID has NUS on it. 95% of student unions are part of it, but yeah maybe yours is one of the 5%.
Nah mine doesn't. As far as I'm aware, there's no difference to my uni and there's no significant movement to put us in the union.
