Looks good! You did that today??? Looks like it would take some time

#3

took about 30 minutes pulling the pieces out of the car, 10 to prep and 30 to paint 4 coats and an hour to dry real good then 30 to put back in with care. it was really easy, but my car smells like paint now (i’ll be buzzing on the way to work tomorow) :cool

Cool beans Bubba!

#5

looks good playa

#6

Looks especially good with the white face guages. sporty.

#7

Dude that looks awesome. I don’t have the balls to try that because I’m afraid I would mess it up and be screwed over.

#8

yea im not a painter by any means, but i just tok the covers off my subs and practiced on those then i tried the interior pieces - when you start the interior, there is no going back

#9

Looks really good. I did that to my 2k Silverado I used to have. I like the look, very custom. http://www.offtopicz.com/forums/smilies_mod/upload/1019b8001d1a945102b99097eeb41edb.gif

Wont they scratch easy?

#11

Re: RE: My Interior

Actually, there is a trick to make them last and not scratch. After you wet sand the parts with your final 1000 grit, you spray them with a product called Bull Dog. Bull Dog chemically bonds to plastic and then the paint chemically bonds to the Bull Dog. It’s a great method anytime you paint plastics. I learned the hard way.

#12

I always learn the hard way :dunno

#13

i dont really touch the peices i painted- hopefully they dont scratch, but if they do i can just paint them again with that product HRnB mentioned

#14

Some of the pieces look good, but I dont like them all. The speaker box looks awesome though!

#15

You did that all by yourself? Looks really good. Looks like it was done by a professional. Good job!

#19

That looks badass man!

I have the same two tone interior in my stang actually… but since I’m going with the silver/black theme anyways on the outside, I don’t really need to paint inside.
