Guess I’m a little late to the party here! My name’s Jake, I’ve been a keen debater since I was 11 years old.
Q: What policies, social issues or other are you interested in discussing?
A: I have always been a big follower of politics. I’m slightly left-wing, but generally fairly neutral. I’m quite anti-Trump at the moment. Generally, I’m keen on discussing equality issues, religion, politics… anything that isn’t polite conversation at a dinner party.
Q: Which country are you from?
A: I was born in Australia, and have also spent some time living in Japan.
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: I’m a hobby filmmaker, debater, author and script writer. My dream job is to be a comedian, so I’m also into voice acting, impressions and stand-up routines.
Q: What’s a book, movie or song you recommend?
A: Books, I would recommend anything by Bryce Courtenay, the author of “The Power of One”. He writes a lot about inequalities in his home nations of Australia and South Africa, and his writing style is very powerful. Movies, I’m a film buff, and I recommend “The Shawshank Redemption”, “A Clockwork Orange” and “The Wolf of Wall Street”. Finally, in terms of music, Garth Brooks is a good one in terms of the morals of his music. Yes, I know, it’s country music, but every song has a powerful message.
Anyway, that’s me.
