Sometimes Mental Health Workers Are Helped More Than The People They're Trying To Help

Lots of people in our world want to help others. And for many of those who want to make a difference, becoming a mental health worker is a good option for them.

But if you do choose to work in the mental health field, those struggling with mental health issues aren’t the only ones you can help.

You can also end up helping yourself in the process.

The thing is, I know lots of mental health workers whom I’ve met over the years who tell me that they often feel that by trying to help others with depression, bi polar disorder, anxiety issues, schizophrenia, and other forms of mental illness, they end up getting just as much out of it if not more than those they’ve ended up helping.

So if you’re thinking of becoming a mental health worker, realize that those you may end up helping someday won’t be the only ones you’ve helped. You just may get as much or even more out of it than they do.
