The Ideal Life...What Is It?

i just want to know what every one believes what the ideal life is… it could be simple or complicated… but the goal is if you could plan your life out realisticaly the way youd like what would it be…completely… or if you believe its too late and there isnt much time for you to change your track and this no inspiration to you… what would you change if you could go back in time and re-live your life?

SPAMMER!!!

we usually have noobies post in the introduction thread. but welcome to OTz

then we’ll get back to you

In my opinion, I have the ideal life…except for money; I need lots and lots of money just to get back to a zero debt balance.

Otherwise, have a great Wife, a great daughter, life is pretty low-key…

*well, there’s always that depression thingy…wish that would go away…:frowning:

I have a pretty low expectation of what is an ideal life, as long as I’ve got air in my lungs, love and enough cash to live comfortably then I’m happy. Oh, and whoever called this guy a spammer, give him a break, its a good topic and its not like hes on here posting links or trying to sell something, I think its a pretty good first post as it goes, welcome dude!

I think my life as of right now = happiness for me. I have the perfect house, perfect neighbors, beautiful kids, good husband, my entire family kicks ass…and I couldnt ask for anything more. Oh… I would get rid of monthly girl cramps and give them to the men for a little while. Then…that would be ideal.

i’m only joking. but some day, spam bots will rule the internet, and they’ll take over the philosophy forums first.

my ideal life is with a good woman i can make happy, enough food and shelter to get by, and something crazy to happen every day. because knowing everything that happens in your life is for control freaks.

hey thanks for everyone welcoming me lol… umm for the guy who said i was a spammer im not i just im new to forums and all that and ive been doing a lot of thinking soo i was wondering if anyone thought about this too and if it could actually be achieved … i have a year before my life is going to be chnged dramaticaly with me deciding what i have to do with my life… i’ve always wanted to be a doctor or a psyciatrist but everyone says that and i really just want to know about every one else soo that i dont feel as if a year is more like and hour which is how ive been feeling and soo ya… i hope people will give some feed back and to suzie im glad that everything is perfect for you eventhough you have girl cramps lmfao but umm one more thing… go titans ! lol playoffs next year

a wife a couple kids maybe a dog a house with a fence and a pool near the ocean no finacial worries…thats my slice of heaven

No wonder clergy men are such smug bastards!

lmfao in my ideal world toronto would have an nfl team soo i have one team nfc (panthers) one team afc (titans) sorry pats fan i like you guys but uhhh the titans and panthers are who im sticking and have stuck with lol… and ya i understand that too about the satisfaction of your occupation but i think that if i was willing to enter either a medical program for either being that its tough as it is i think id be satisfied but i also play instruments and would love to start a band or write or even cook or teach i just want someway to combine everything i love into one lifetime and the only way i could do that is have like a gazillion dollars … you know what i mean… and this is what ive been thinking about because id like to have a wife and kids too…and be a fantastic husband and dad…feed back plz my head is going to explode

might as well add astronaut on the list while you’re at it. i’m guessing you’re my age. i’m having a bit of indecision at what i want to do for the rest of my life, and i feel a lot of pressure because school is expensive. in my latest edit of my perfect world i’d have a magic 8 ball that could tell you just what would be right for you, but i think it’ll probably take you some time, thought, and trial and error before you figure out what you’ll really try to achieve in life.

lol im 16 soo i don t your age but umm magic 8 ball would sound fantactic… im saying music, medicine, astronaught lol all of that is what i love doing and i want all of those things to stay in my life… i thought i had it planned this way… doctor for a minimum of 10 years you know just a family doctor, work days its beautiful… then id get my teaching certification and teach at a grade school preferably grade 8 … then id like to open up a resteraunt for my friends and i basically just reminiss and talk ill have made soo much money it wouldnt really matter how the retraunt does lol and during all of these years i want to play and write music… does it sound more possible now?

close enough to my age, you just have a couple more years of cheaper education ahead of you.

i’ll be honest, you seem REALLY over ambitious. if you do plan on doing all those things, i hope you have the drive. i almost wonder if you’re joking.

not that doing all of those isn’t possible.

by all means play and write music, it’s a great hobby. keeps you sane, impresses dates, and generally a good thing. just kind of a gamble professionally.

out of the other 3 i think i’d go with teaching 8th graders, but that’s me.

lmfao i knew youd think i was kidding lol … i dont think id be able to only do one thing for the rest of my life period though… for example when i started learning guitar i was learning bass and tuba at the same time lol … i litterally have to be doing more than one thing also i dont mean to write and play music professionaly or at least not when im old lol i mean just do a show here and there and mainly build friendships with people that share a passion for music like i do … what is you desired job?

right now i take engineering classes. i feel i could do it, but i don’t know that i’d be happy doing it.

since coming to these forums i’ve gotten a bit more confidence in my writing abilities, and i might take something more liberal. maybe i’ll take sociology and math, then i can be a statistician or something.

doing a music major you could teach yourself any instrument you want, and learn how they’re all connected. then you could teach music at a college or something. but then would you get tired of music? you could have a bunch of different side hobbies. like writing in blogs, maybe be a journalist, do photography. i dunno. i’m trying to think of open ended careers for you. i think i want something more specialised.

My ideal life right now would be;

Just having this house.
Having 2000 in the bank of untouched money.
Having zero balances, and no necessary reason to have a balance on a credit card.
My car up to snuff and running perfectly.
The ability to go out and just have fun every now and then.
The ability to understand other people/people I work with without having to figure it out.

which is exactly why i want to be a doctor because i love that most and then the rest could be side hobbies… well i mean after my limit of 10 years (which will probably turn into more) and soo thats what im saying and then once i feel ive fullfilled my duties in helping people i want to shape the youth into being ambitious and motivated and just have the basic foundation to be successful and i want to be the fun teacher that lets kids have gym the whole day if theyre good lol that stuff … music im doing and i have a job + school soo thats a given same with writing … cooking or the restraunt is more for me to remain in touch and thatll probably be while im teaching something for me and hopefully my wife to do because im deffinately marrying a girl that will agree with me about this particular aspect of the future lol … and engineering is fantastic same with writing i think that school is expenssive welll in canada it is i dont know about the u.s. or foxbro lol but umm i say keep on keeping on man with motivation you could do anything you dream of

motivation. wish i had more of that stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

a lot of things are possible with will power, and i hope you have enough of it to everything you want. med school is tough, you’ll need every ounce of that ambitious drive you’ve got to get through it. and it’s a lot of dedication, so you won’t have a whole lotta time to jam on your guitar while you’re saving people.

girls like ambition, but i don’t know about all this business. guess you’ll have to find a girl that’s just as busy as you, and a couple girls i’ve met come to mind actually.

I just want to settle down. Which is going to happen in July, and after that I think my life will be ideal enough for me
