Sort of. While there is a biological basis for the existence of men that identify as women, and vice versa, I don't know of any such basis for someone that identifies as some other 'gender.' My assertion here is that gender is a spectrum of masculinity and femininity.
In a way. I'd rather these ideas just not be entertained. I prefer not to disrespect anyone, but disrespect is subjective I guess and I can certainly see how my viewpoint could be taken as disrespect.
The new push for gender identity and recognition is used as a tool by new champagne socialists who are bringing a tinge to the movement that I don't like. While I desire a society that is more collective and at least slightly nationalistic, the gender identity movement is overly-individualistic in my eyes.
