The White House tonight has been lit blue in honor of those police officers who have fallen, as well as those who are currently serving their communities today. These last several years have been rough for law enforcement nationwide. It's time to show "the other side of the coin" as my local Sheriff and friend, Bill Hollenbeck, said last year when a deputy was killed in the line of duty. Mistakes have been made, which need to be addressed and the problems solved. However, majorly, police officers are our protectors and guardians. When crises arise, they do not run from the fire, but run towards it. All in the effort, to protect the people they serve.
